Brody Albert

Brody Albert is an artist and educator working across media with a focus on sculpture, installation, and publishing. His work addresses objects that shape, and are shaped by, social interaction. Albert’s work freely borrows from historic strategies of Post-Minimalism, Land Art, Pop, and Conceptualism and employs techniques from the applied arts and industrial production. His recent artistic research focuses on ecology as cosmology.

Recently, Albert’s work has been exhibited at the TIMES museum, Beijing; Access Gallery, Vancouver; the Pasadena Museum of California Art; and Nicodim Gallery, River Gallery, Wil Aballe Art Projects, Garden, VACANCY, and UCLA’s New Wight Gallery, Los Angeles. Albert co-directs the experimental publishing imprint OHPAPERS, and he is currently Senior Lecturer of Art and Design at Whittier College. He holds an MFA from the University of California, Irvine, and a BFA from Art Center College of Design.
